I’m Dave Malcolm. I’ve lived, worked, raised a family and built a life here in Ward 2. With your support, I can bring my experience, and your voice, to Brantford City Council.
I know what it means to work hard, solve problems and build a future. Over the years, I’ve lived, worked and raised my family in neighbourhoods across Ward 2, including Holmedale, Terrace Hill, Henderson, Dufferin and Paris Road. Ward 2 isn’t just where I work, it’s my home.
My experience managing residential, commercial and industrial properties across Brantford has given me a firsthand understanding of the challenges residents face every day. Combined with more than 38 years of leadership experience with Scouts Canada, I’ve built my approach around honesty, integrity, teamwork and service to the community.
In my experience as a property manager, doing renovations & running a small business, I’ve built a reputation for problem solving, staying on budget, and getting the job done right. As both a leader and a hands-on team member, I understand the importance of listening, working together and delivering practical results people can count on.
I’m ready to be a strong voice for Ward 2 at City Hall with a clear focus on practical, people-first leadership:
- Managing growth responsibly, while protecting the character of Ward 2 neighbourhoods.
- Supporting safe streets, better traffic flow and reliable city infrastructure.
- Keeping affordability and responsible budgeting front and centre for residents and taxpayers.
- Supporting local business, community spaces, arts, culture and the neighbourhoods that make Ward 2 unique.
Most of all, I believe good leadership starts with listening, and making sure the people of Ward 2 always have a strong, reliable voice at Council.
